The method involves drawing a synthetic film (1) in longitudinal direction after drawing the film in transversal direction. Two assemblies of portable spot welding heads are arranged for grasping longitudinal edges of the film. The welding heads are guided in a divergent manner to realize drawing of the film in transversal direction. The welding heads are displaced parallel to the longitudinal direction of the film with progressive increase of distance between two successive heads of the assembly to realize the longitudinal drawing.
