The electronic box has a global positioning system (GPS) receiver (3) and a radio receiver/transmitter (1) that exchanges information between the box and a centralized parking charge management center, where the receiver/transmitter conforms to a third generation universal mobile telecommunications system (UTMS)standard. Starting and ending operations of vehicle parking are automatically carried out with the center covering a national territory via a mobile telephone network. Starting and ending of a charging process is carried out by simply pushing a start/stop button (9).
