The method involves performing communication connection between motor vehicle located outside and motor vehicle operator, so that a command is transmitted to activate autonomous parking operation of vehicle. The target position and/or last driven trajectory of vehicle is stored in suitable device prior to starting of autonomous parking operation of vehicle. The vehicle parking process is performed after first activation of parking process autonomously from start position based on data stored in device. An independent claim is included for driver assistance device connectable with control and sensor devices of motor vehicle.
