The device (1) has a vertical support wall (2) on which a soilless cultivation substrate (4) e.g. hydrophilic fiber needled non-oven, is applied. The substrate comprises an assembly of three successive layers such as bottom layer formed by a rot-proof wrap (5), median layer (6) made of low density synthetic foam to prevent evaporation of water in the wrap and upper layer (7) e.g. micro-perforated membrane, consisting of a perforated membrane and made of synthetic material such as polyethylene. The wall comprises a sealing coating that is an ethylene propylene diene terpolymer membrane.
