The door frame has a crossbeam and jambs that are made from a hollow profile whose section comprises a plane external surface (8) delimited at its lateral ends by two lateral bracing and covering wings (9). The external surface and the wings form a groove receiving an edge of a maintaining rail (11), and an internal surface (10) has a rabbet (12) for receiving an inner edge of a door. A frontal surface (13) includes double walls (15, 16) connecting the external and internal surfaces, where the walls anchor fixation rods (17) of a hinge (4) of a leaf of a door. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a door frame for a doorway.
