The tool (20) has a plate (22) with a handle (223), a rotational axle (224) and a bolt (225) to lock the tool on a mechanically controlled gearbox. A cylindrical rod (21) has a hollow cylindrical handle (27) and a supporting abutment (29) to exert reference force on a clutch actuator of a friction clutch mechanism of the gearbox along a main direction (X). The rod supports a cylindrical hollow shaft (210) and a handlever (211) for displacing the rod from determined distance along the direction, where the distance corresponds to a determined stroke of the clutch actuator to adjust the stroke. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a system for manually adjusting the stroke of a throw-out fork of a friction clutch mechanism of a mechanically controlled gearbox (2) a method for manually adjusting the stroke of a throw-out fork of a friction clutch mechanism of a mechanically controlled gearbox.
