The station has a charging site (16) for receiving a self-service electric vehicle i.e. electric power-assisted bicycle (18), and including a connector socket connected to a self-service electric vehicle charging unit i.e. personnel charger, that charges the vehicle. A connection control device i.e. control case (24), connects an electric supply source to the socket after the detection of the data responding to the certain criterion by the user of the vehicle. The socket has an anti-theft system that is utilized for locking the vehicle using a personnel padlock by the user.
