The tube (1) has a cover (2) obtained by folding a metallic band, and provided with large flat sides (3, 4) parallel to each other, where the flat sides form two parallel channels (5, 6). A thermal insulation brace (7) is placed between the channels and parallel to one of the large flat sides. The brace is coplanar to one of the large flat sides, where the brace and the flat side (3) form a plane surface. Rectangular shaped openings (10) are provided in the brace and formed by cutting and folding a flap (11) in a space between the channels. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a tube.
