The method involves obtaining effective start and estimated start of speaking time for a reference node. A correction to a local representation of clock pulse is determined, at an emitter node i.e. slave node, from the effective start and the estimated start, where the clock pulse is defined by a master node. A current emission mode from a set of emission modes and an emission mode from another set of emission modes, are selected according to the correction, where each mode is associated to a guard time during which the emitter node does not transmit data distinct from another guard time. The reference node and the slave node can be wireless audio renderer type nodes of a synchronous communication network. The master node can be wireless audio decoder type node. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a program product comprising a set of instructions for performing a data transmitting method (2) a computer readable storage medium comprising a set of instructions for performing a data transmitting method (3) a emitter node comprising a data transmission unit.
