The method involves implementing a stacking station (10) in which manipulation of staking grids (11) are carried one by one by a stacking machine. The grids are stacked on a stacking area (16). Orientation of each of the grids is modified at a predetermined angle with respect to an orientation assigned to previously stacked grid such that uprights of the grids in a stack (17) are not fitted together, where the modification of the orientation of the grids are carried out on a grip area (14) by the rotation of the stack by an actuator e.g. motor. An independent claim is also included for a device for stacking staking grids, comprising a grip area.
