The disk (1) has parallel annular friction surfaces (12, 14) including two parallel annular steel sheets (2, 4) that are maintained at a distance from one another by cylindrical tubular hollow welded spacers (16) containing damping material. The sheet (2) has a central part that forms a cylindrical inner fixation hub (8) fixed on a motor vehicle e.g. motorcycle. The hub has a plane fixation bottom surface (18) that is axially offset with respect to the friction surface (12) of the sheet (2). The hub axially traverses a central orifice of the sheet (4). An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a brake disk.
