The device (100) has a pilot circuit (30) connected to output control terminals of a display control circuit (20) to actuate functioning modes in a selective manner. A decorative chain (40) is connected to the pilot circuit and driven by the pilot circuit for functioning in one of the functioning modes in which the pilot circuit is adjusted in a selective manner by the control circuit. The pilot circuit includes thyristors having control rectifiers made up of silicon, where the pilot circuit is powered by a power source of a power supply circuit (10) with an impedance reducing circuit (11).
