The headlight has an optical module (2) delivering a light beam towards front of a vehicle. The module mounted in a case (9) has a mask (10) extending the case towards the front of module. The beam crosses an opening (12) in the mask, and a transparent lens (11) for closing the screen and protecting the module is arranged above the screen. Intermittent screen (13) of electro chrome material is housed in the case relative to the opening and interposed in a fixed position on a path of the beam delivered by the module for blocking or releasing the path when the headlight is not in or in service.
