The installation has Carnot machine including an assembly with two transfer recesses (CT, CT') that contain a transfer liquid and work fluid in form of liquid and/or vapor. Transfer unit selectively transfers work fluid between capacitor (Cond) and each of the recess, and between evaporator (Evap) and each recess. Another transfer unit selectively transfers transfer liquid between the recesses and a detent or compression device and comprises a hydraulic converter. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for producing cold, heat and/or work (2) a method for management of the installation.
