The cover has a rectangular lower part (1) extended on its sides by two sets of panels (2-5), where one set of panels (2, 3) is assembled along longitudinal and lateral edges of the lower part. Another set of panels (4, 5) is formed as a triangle whose bases are assembled to lateral sides of the lower part and points are rejoined to a center of a quilt when the panels (4, 5) are folded on the guilt. A fixation system (7) e.g. hook, is provided along free edges of the panels (2- 5) such that the panels (4, 5) are removably assembled to the panels (2, 3).
