The device (6) has a strap guiding element (10) screwed on a support element (20) by a fixation screw (30), where the support element is integrated to a structure of a vehicle. The screw cooperates with a bore in the guiding element and with an internal thread in the support element. The support element is formed by a threaded spacer integrated on an embossed plate (22) by welding. The shape of the plate adopts a portion of the vehicle structure. The guiding element has a base formed by a metal plate that is over-molded by polymer material. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a body shell of an automobile type vehicle.
