PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for efficiently removing metals soluble in wastewater at high speed. PSOLUTION: A water soluble high polymer 2 having carboxyl group is added into the wastewater in which salts 1 of metals are dissolved. As a result, an ion bond 3 comprising the water soluble high polymer having a metal ion acidic group is formed. Next, a solution of a water soluble high polymer 4 having amino group is added. An ion bond 5 comprising the acidic group of the water soluble high polymer having acidic group and the amino group of the water soluble high polymer having the amino group is formed. The formation of the ion bond induces the crosslinking of the water soluble high polymer having the amino group and the water soluble high polymer having the acidic group.
