PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing 1,2,3-trichloropropane from glycerol massively produced as a by-product of bio diesel oil, as a raw material.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the 1,2,3-trichloropropane is characterized by reacting glycerol with an oxychlorinated compound in the presence of a tertiary amine compound such as triethylamine, dimethylbenzylamine, N, N-dimethylaniline, N-methylmorpholine or N-methylpiperidine in an aromatic solvent such as toluene, xylene, or chlorobenzene.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
