PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new variant plant by using a retrotransposon, capable of avoiding the production of the variant by culture variation.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the variant plant comprising (a) the step of forming a callus by de-differentiating a plant tissue, (b) the step of re-differentiating the callus obtained in the step (a), and (c) the step of obtaining next generation individual body by self-planting the re-differentiated plant body is characterized in that the plant tissue contains the retrotransposon LORE1 or its variant body in its genom.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
