PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D-aminoacylase excellent in an ability for producing D-phenylalanine or D-methionine, and to provide a method for producing D-phenylalanine or D-methionine utilizing the enzyme.;SOLUTION: This D-aminoacylase has an action for acting on an N-acyl-D-amino acid to produce the D-amino acid, and contains a specific amino acid sequence. The method for producing the D-phenylalanine includes a process for treating an N-acyl-D-phenylalanine with the D-aminoacylase and then recovering the produced D-amino acid.
