PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron alloy wherein irradiation damage is drastically hardly caused compared with the conventional austenitic steel.;SOLUTION: The austenitic high purity iron alloy has a composition containing, by mass, ≤0.0020% C, ≤0.0030% N, ≤0.0010% S, ≤0.0050% O, wherein the total content of C, N, S and O is controlled to ≤0.0080% in total, 10 to 30% Ni and 15 to 50% Cr, and preferably further one or more selected from ≤10% Mo, ≤10% W, ≤0.1% P, ≤3% Al, ≤1% Ti and 0.0050% B as well.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
