PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small air-cooled dry vacuum pump easily obtaining vacuum in an optional place without requiring cooling water facilities.;SOLUTION: This positive displacement air-cooled dry vacuum pump includes a casing 3 having an inlet 1 and an outlet 2, and a pair of biaxial rotors 5, 5 arranged in the casing. The pair of biaxial rotors 5, 5 is a screw type. The casing 3 is so configured that the inlet 1 communicates with the outlet 2 internally and a rotor storage space 9 is formed. The rotor storage space has both sides formed into an arcuate shape so that the pair of juxtaposed biaxial rotors 5, 5 is rotatably stored, and has such a cross sectional shape that a portion with almost a center between the biaxial rotors positioned is formed into a projecting portion 10. A portion of the casing 3 with at least the rotor storage portion 9 formed is provided with a cooling promoting structure 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
