PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging method for deodorization unit for generating active species and purifying air supplied into a room, and also to provide a method for manufacturing and locally installing a deodorization unit, providing the state in which bad smell constituents are hardly fixed to a deodorization filter. PSOLUTION: This packaging method for transport of a deodorization unit 1 is a packaging method for transport of the deodorization unit storing a filter 2 having the function for collecting smell constituents and immersed with optical catalyst therein, wherein this method has a first step S1 and a second step S2. In the first step S1, the filter is shut off against a surrounding atmosphere. In the second step, the filter is placed not in an inner set position of the unit body, but on the outer side of the unit body, and then the filter is packaged together with the unit body.
