PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support method for efficiency promotion of a supply chain that suppresses reduction in a delivery rate of products and derives the optimum stock arrangement and stock count of products for overall reduction of a cost for product stock, a cost for sales opportunity loss, and a disposal cost. PSOLUTION: Primary simulation is performed using a supply chain model, on the basis of demand forecasting of a product in a period from a starting point of a position of a unit period of sales/production to a life cycle end in the life cycle of the product, and using a delivery rate of the products as a constraint condition. Then, the demand forecasting is modified in accordance with the unit period position in the life cycle, and an extra physical distribution route is added. Second simulation is performed with a desired delivery rate as a constraint condition to derive a stock count and a stock location of the products, an extra physical distribution route and extra physical distribution cost, for minimizing the total costs of a stock maintenance cost of the products, a cost for sales opportunity loss, and a disposal cost.
