PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support method for efficiency-promotion in a supply chain, which can prevent production delay due to stockout of materials and shipping delay due to shortage of product inventory, even if sales plan variation of rapid quantity sold increase exceeding initially-assumed sales variation occurs, and can minimize disposal loss of products and exclusive materials at the time point of completion of the product life. PSOLUTION: Secondary sales variation larger than initially-assumed primary sales variation is assumed to perform demand prediction at a remaining life cycle of a product. On the basis of information on demand, and inventory of the product and the materials, simulation is performed with a supply chain model so that a rate of inventory in a plant within inventory as the entire supply chain is increased, thereby computing and selecting the safe inventory number, inventory locations and temporary distribution routes of the product and materials such that stockout of the product is not caused and the disposal loss of the product and materials at the EOL (End Of Life) time point is minimized.
