PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal that suppresses power consumption by changing a cycle for checking terminal information and a cycle for notifying a control device of checked information in the waiting portable terminal. PSOLUTION: An application manager monitors the absence of input operation from an inputting part for a predetermined time. When detecting a non-operating time by input monitoring, a display-off instruction 103 is outputted to change a displaying part from a power non-saving mode to a power saving mode. When an input monitoring means detects the non-operating time, power saving is achieved by lowering one or a plurality of following monitoring operation frequencies: a push message reception processing frequency of 105 is lowered; an electric field strength level notification threshold of 106 is raised; a battery voltage level notification threshold of 107 is raised; and a time notification frequency of 108 is lowered.
