PREPARATION OF NONIONIC SURFACTANT SPAN80 DOUBLE VESICLE AS GENE TRANSFER VECTOR AND GENE TRANSFER FUNCTION

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene vector exhibiting high transfer efficiency in a gene transfer process. PSOLUTION: There is provided a gene vector prepared by using a Span80 vesicle having a double structure and excellent membrane fusion performance and including gene-immobilized small-diameter vesicles in the vesicle. When the vesicle is administered to blood, the gene is protected from attack of DNase, etc., up to an object cell and is delivered to a surface of the object cell. Further, the vesicle is subjected to membrane fusion with the object cell to release the gene-immobilized small-diameter vesicles in the vesicle into the cell. There is further provided a method for gene transfer to a nucleus to efficiently deliver the gene to a cell nucleus caused by the presence of the small-diameter vesicle playing a role of gene vector in a cytoplasm.
