PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary power and to prolong service life of an optical interface by making data transmission using optical wiring operate only in a normal operating state.;SOLUTION: An optical/electrical composite cable connecting a first connector 10 including an optical transmitter 11 and a second connector 20 including an optical receiver 21 via electrical wiring 31 and optical wiring 32, includes: detection mechanisms 13, 23 for detecting the connecting state of the first connector, the connecting state of the second connector 20, power-on states of transmitting-side electronic apparatuses connected to the first connector 10, and power-on states of receiving-side electronic apparatuses connected to the second connector 20; and power supply mechanisms 14, 24 for supplying power to the optical transmitter 11 and the optical receiver 21 in the case where the detection mechanisms 13, 23 detect the normal connection of the first and second connectors 10, 20 and both power-on of at least one of transmitting-side electronic apparatuses and power-on of at least one of receiving-side electronic apparatuses.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
