PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus (22) for measuring perpendicularity of the upper tie plate (6) of a nuclear fuel assembly (2). PSOLUTION: The apparatus includes a first comb (24) having a plurality of first teeth (40), a second comb (26) positioned in parallel with the first comb (24), spaced apart from the first comb (24) and having a plurality of second teeth (40), a comb connector (30) having a second end extended beyond the first comb (24) and connecting the first comb (24) with the second comb (26), a rigid finger (36) provided at the second end of the comb connector (30), a rotatable gage (34) provided above the second comb (26) and a mobile finger (38) operatively connected with the gage (34).
