PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taut mooring float and an inclination adjusting method for taut mooring float, not causing inclination of the taut mooring float and restraining the occurrence of a slack to loosen a taut mooring rope when the taut mooring float moves in the horizontal direction by external force such as wind force and tidal stream force in installing the taut mooring float and even in the case of causing unevenness in depth of a lower mooring part under water after installation. PSOLUTION: In this taut mooring float 1, a locking part moving means 16 is provided to move the upper locking part 15 in the vertical direction, which restrains at least the partial upper sides of the taut mooring ropes 13a-13d from relatively moving in the horizontal direction to the upper mooring part 12c. The parts in the taut mooring ropes 13a-13d inclined when the taut mooring float 1 moves in the horizontal direction are adjusted to have the same length by the locking part moving means 16, thereby preventing inclination of the taut mooring float 1 when the taut mooring float 1 moves in the horizontal direction.
