METHOD FOR CALIBRATING DIGITAL PROJECTOR TO DIGITAL CAMERA

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an omni-directional projection system that uses a single projector, to what requires a catadioptric projector, and further a plurality of projectors. PSOLUTION: This method includes a series of steps including: obtaining a light transport matrix correlating the array of projection pixels to the array of sensor pixels; generating a blur kernel from the light transport matrix; multiplying the input image by the matrix inverse of the light transport matrix to create an intermediate transformed image; applying deconvolution on the intermediate transformed image using the blur kernel to create a final image; and submitting the final image for projection by the digital projector.
