METHOD OF ASSEMBLING CROWN OR BAND OF RUNNER AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING RUNNER IN FRANCIS TYPE WATER TURBINE OR FRANCIS TYPE PUMP TURBINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of assembling a crown or a band, restraining welding deformation, avoiding large-scale machining, and not causing a welding defect at integrally welding and assembling the crown and the band which have been separated into a plurality of parts and transported in a site.;SOLUTION: The method of assembling the band 2 of a runner including a crown 1, the band 2 and blades 3 in a Francis type water turbine or a Francis type pump turbine includes: a temporary welding process of welding with a welding amount smaller than a welding amount with respect to the whole beveling area of a section along the dividing line in temporary welding along dividing lines of the divided bands 2, and weld padding up to a water flowing surface near a crossing part with the blade 3; and a process of grinder-shaping the welds near the crossing parts 5a up to the water flowing surfaces.
