PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for isolating and identifying a gene participating in the mechanism of a field resistance to bacterial leaf blight of rice and using the gene for breeding a plant having field resistance to bacterial leaf blight of rice.;SOLUTION: There are provided a gene encoding either one of proteins (a) to (c), a method for preparing a plant having field resistance to bacterial leaf blight of rice by using the gene, and a plant obtained by the method. Wherein the proteins include: (a) a protein comprising a specific amino acid sequence; (b) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence obtained by the deletion, substitution or addition of one or more amino acids to the specific amino acid sequence, and having activity to induce the field resistance to bacterial leaf blight of rice; and (c) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence having homology of ≥80% to the specific amino acid sequence and having activity to induce the field resistance to bacterial leaf blight of rice.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
