PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for working an outer race for a one-way clutch of roller type adopting milling working in working of a cam surface of a pocket, capable of flexibly corresponding even to a product with limited production, reducing costs of the product, and easily corresponding even to different cam shapes.;SOLUTION: The machining method is for the outer race of the roller type one-way clutch including the outer race formed with a pocket having the cam surface in an inner circumference, an inner race disposed concentrically in an inner diameter side of the outer race, and a plurality of rollers disposed in the pocket, engaging with the cam surface, and transmitting torque between the outer race and the inner race.
