PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water immersion detection system for detecting intrusion of water between a metal tube and an insulator of a waveguide; and a water immersion detection method.;SOLUTION: This water immersion detection system 1 includes: this waveguide 2 with carbon fiber paper 8 interposed between the outer periphery of the metal tube 7 and the insulator 16; a voltage application device 13 applying a voltage between a part 18 with the carbon fiber paper 8 exposed and a part 19 with the metal tube 7 exposed; a measurement device 10 measuring the electric conductivity of the carbon fiber paper 8 based on the applied voltage and current; and an alarm means 11 issuing an alarm by light, sound or the like when the level of the change of the electric conductivity is set larger than a predetermined value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
