PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a status monitor program, a printer and a printer status display system, allowing a user to properly cope with a case having occurred in the printer when the unforeseen case has occurred in the printer.;SOLUTION: When paper shortage has occurred in the printer, for example, a message with a typical coping method for the paper shortage as contents is displayed in a fixed data display box 7002, and furthermore, a message which is a peculiar message corresponding to environment wherein the printer is used and which is inputted by the user at the occurrence of a previous error is displayed in a customized data display box 7004.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
