PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the level of a molten metal surface in a mold where, when the level of a molten metal surface in a mold of a continuous casting machine is controlled, the influence of standing waves as disturbance is removed, and the level of a molten metal surface in a mold can be correctly controlled.;SOLUTION: A molten metal surface level meter 18 is installed in the central position of a mold width, and further, a frequency filter 20 for removing the influence of second standing waves from a molten metal surface level signal measured by the molten metal surface level meter 18 is installed in a molten metal surface level controller 19.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
