PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a ring gear capable of restraining generation of noises, a ring gear, and a regular meshing type starting mechanism.;SOLUTION: The regular meshing type starting mechanism has an one-way clutch which is meshed at the time of starting an internal combustion engine and becomes an idling state after completion of starting. The regular meshing type starting mechanism has a ring gear made of a gear section in which a pinion gear arranged on an output shaft of a motor for starting is regularly meshed, and a body section in which an inner race of the one-way clutch is integrally formed. Before grinding an outer peripheral surface of the inner race, rotation speed and moving speed of a grinding tool are calculated, wherein the number of contacts among sprags of the one-way clutch and a projected section formed in connection with grinding of the outer peripheral surface of the inner race per second at an idling operation after completion of starting of the engine is not coincided with resonant frequency of the ring gear.
