METHOD OF EXTERNAL FERTILIZATION BY USING FROZEN AND THAWED MOUSE SPERM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving fertility of a mouse-strain frozen and thawed sperm which has not been suitable for cryopreservation because the fertility after thawing the frozen sperm is extremely reduced.;SOLUTION: The method of the external fertilization by using the frozen and thawed mouse sperms includes the following steps: (1) a step for thawing the frozen mouse sperms and preculturing the thawed sperms in a dish including a medium containing methyl-β-cyclodextrin, D-penicillamine, trisodium citrate and hypotaurine; (2) a step for selectively collecting the mouse sperms from the center part of the dish; and (3) a step for carrying out the external fertilization by using the collected mouse sperms and a mouse ovum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
