PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desktop bookrest in which inclination angle of a book resting plate for placing and fixing a book is adjusted steplessly and stably and the size of the book resting plate is adjusted corresponding to the size of the book, and to provide a device for fixing a book in a vehicle.;SOLUTION: The desktop bookrest is constituted of: the book resting plate 11 including a first book resting plate 2 and a second book resting plate 3 slidably attached to it; a first fixing means 4 for fixing the second book resting plate 3 at a predetermined slide position; a first page holding means 5 formed on one end of the first book resting plate 2; a second page holding means 6 formed on an end of the second book resting plate 3; an inclination angle adjusting means 7 for adjusting the inclination angle of the first book resting plate 2; and a book supporting member 9 formed in a lower end of the first book resting plate 2. The inclination angle adjusting means 7 is constituted of: a member 7a for supporting the book resting plate, which is attached in an upper part of the first book resting plate 2; a plate 7c for adjusting the inclination angle, which is slidably attached to it; and a second fixing means 8 for fixing the plate for adjusting the inclination angle in an appropriate slide position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
