PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma spraying apparatus with a particle acceleration nozzle which increases the flying velocity of molten particles and improves membrane performance and a plasma spraying method.;SOLUTION: The plasma spraying apparatus has an acceleration nozzle 5 connected to the nozzle part 2 of a plasma gun 3 jetting a plasma jet F. The acceleration nozzle 5 has a nozzle hole whose inside diameter increases continuously or stepwise toward its tip. Approximately cylindrical jet openings T0-T4 for jetting a shielding gas toward the tip of the acceleration nozzle are formed in the inner wall in the circumferential direction in the nozzle hole. The jet openings are formed in a plurality of stages in the central axis C direction of the nozzle hole. Gas supply routes 5n, 5j-5m for supplying gas to the jet opening of each stage are formed individually. An inert gas or a gas containing an inert gas as a main component is supplied to the gas supply route 5n leading to the jet opening at least on the most upstream side in the jet direction of the plasma jet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
