PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for converting an effluent of the reproducible origin to fuel of excellent quality using a catalyst containing an active phase constituted of a sulfur-containing Group VIB element and characterized in that a Group VIB element is molybdenum. PSOLUTION: The catalyst to be used is a supported or non-supported type catalyst containing the active phase constituted of the sulfur-containing Group VIB element and characterized in that the Group VIB element is molybdenum.
