PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile station positioning system controlling transmission power of a mobile station and accurately positioning the mobile station even in the case where transmission power of a positioning signal is not fixed.;SOLUTION: On the basis of measured reception power of a preparation signal, transmission power of a positioning signal is determined by a transmission power determination section and the positioning signal is transmitted with the determined transmission power by a positioning signal transmission section of a mobile station, so that the transmission power of the positioning signal is controlled on the basis of a magnitude of the reception power of the preparation signal. The transmitted positioning signal is received by a positioning signal receiving section of a base station, its reception power is measured, and a couple of multiple base stations are selected out of a plurality of base stations by a positioning section. On the basis of a ratio of reception power of positioning signals measured by positioning signal receiving sections of two base stations constituting the selected base station couple, a position of the mobile station is calculated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
