The method involves forming positioning cell area by mobile positioning system and receiving an identifier of mobile station in the positioning system based on the location updated by mobile stations in each location area of the formed positioning cell area. The mobile station is positioned when the positioning system receives the identifier of mobile station positioned. An independent claim is also included for mobile positioning system.
