PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately prohibit, in wasteful situations, execution of a failure diagnostic process of an evaporated-fuel treatment device.;SOLUTION: This failure diagnostic device detects the outside air temperature of the evaporated-fuel treatment device 4, the parameter value of the burned amount of fuel before stopping an engine, and a pressure in the evaporated-fuel treatment device. After the engine is stopped, the failure diagnostic device brings the evaporated-fuel treatment device 4 in a closed state, and diagnoses whether the failure of the evaporated-fuel treatment device 4 is present or not on the basis of the detected pressure. When the parameter value is less than a predetermined threshold, the device prohibits the diagnosis.
