PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the application of water and fertilizer for soil hydroponics, by which the application of the water and the fertilizer can automatically be carried out in response to the peripheral environment by relatively easy control means without needing a skilled technique on the culture of a plant, thus realizing the stabilization of the quality of the plant and the achievement of a high yield, and to provide a device therefor. ;SOLUTION: This water and fertilizer application control method for controlling the application of water and a fertilizer, characterized by disposing a means which has sensors for continuously measuring the water content of soil and the quantity of solar radiation and not carrying out only the application of the water at an arbitrary set time in dependence on the measurement values of the sensors, in addition to a means for automatically and separately carrying out the applications of the water and the fertilizer at the arbitrary set time, and an automatic water-fertilizer application control device used for the control method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
