PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation amount estimating device for estimating a ventilation amount accurately at low cost using indoor contaminant concentration and estimating the number of people in a room with high accuracy from the estimated ventilation amount.;SOLUTION: The ventilation amount estimating device for estimating the ventilation amount of a predetermined closed space has a contaminant concentration measuring means installed in the predetermined closed space to measure the concentration of a predetermined contaminant, and an arithmetic means for determining the ventilation amount by substituting the concentration of the predetermined contaminant at two different times measured by the contaminant concentration measuring means in a time zone where the generated amount of the predetermined contaminant is known, as the concentration at the first time and second time in a relational expression representing the contaminant concentration in the closed space at the first time based on influence from the contaminant concentration at the second time before the first time and influence from the generation of the contaminant in the closed space, taking the ventilation amount in the closed space into consideration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
