PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for certainly detecting a malignant tumor, especially a degree of malignancy, and a diagnosing kit therefor.;SOLUTION: A specimen is sampled from a subject and a neutral amino acid transporter (LAT) developed in normal cells in the sampled specimen is detected, identified or quantified and the neutral amino acid transporter (LAT) developed in tumor cells is detected, identified or quantified to detect, identify or quantified tumor cells in the specimen. A method for judging the degree of malignance of tumor cells in the specimen is constituted so as to compare the quantified values of both of them obtained by quantifying those values.
