PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dried du zhong leaves suitable for preparing du zhong leaf extract which includes "apparently tea-like" flavor based on bitter, astringent, and acidic taste inherent in du zhong, and presents pure taste without harshness and/or body feeling.;SOLUTION: When the dried du zhong leafs are soaked in 90°C water for 10 minutes for extraction, the obtained extract liquid has the content of asperuloside more than that of aucubin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
