PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the motivation for quitting smoking by visualizing the progress of quitting smoking with the degree of desire for smoking, and to support a person in quitting smoking by deepening the person's understanding with the recorded data and consideration on the data because the body temperature and the blood pressure, etc. are frequently measured in a medical field to be utilized for the diagnosis or observation and the degree of desire for quitting smoking can be also utilized for the diagnosis and observation if the degree of desire for quitting smoking can be measured, while conventional methods for enhancing the desire for quitting smoking, though various methods are present, are not so effective and the person always worries about how long the pains in trying to quit smoking will last or whether the effort at quitting smoking smoothly progresses or not, and as a result, the eagerness is lost.;SOLUTION: The person trying to quit smoking prepares a no-smoking recording table, in which the person writes down the situation whenever the person wants to smoke. The total degrees of desire for smoking are calculated at the final hour of a day based on the frequency of feeling the desire for smoking and the degree of the desire for smoking.
